Understanding Thomas Jefferson

5 Things I Understand

1) Thomas Jefferson is seen as a very complicated person by many individuals. He has a very strange personality that is hard to figure out.

2) DNA tests revealed that Thomas Jefferson may have actually fathered on of Sally Hemings' children.

3) When Thomas Jefferson was a fourteen year old boy his father Peter Jefferson died. Peter Jefferson's death was not expected and it came as a hard shock.

4) Thomas Jefferson was a very studious individual. He would study almost every subject that he could his hands on even after his fathers death.

5) Jefferson falls in love with Rebecca Burwell and he tries to impress her and get her attention. Jefferson sends many letters to his friends such as John Page.

1) Jefferson seemed to do what he wanted as a child yet he still came from wealthy family but was there any supervision on him?

2) What was Jefferson's amin motivation in his stuies? Was there anybody on paticulatr that acted as a motivating force fo Jefferson?

3) Was Rebecca Burwell seen as a well repected individual when it came to academics or was she just repected because of the family taht she came from?

4) What were some of the family principles that Jefferson grew up by and how did they affect Jefferrson?
